If we go down to the woods today...

I continuously browse through the web looking for a talented/creative photographers around the world. I follow quite a few from around the world and some in the UK too. Every now and again I drop them an e-mail to thank them how their work have inspired me to take my photography to the next level.

Huy of QHPhotography was a name mentioned when I was shooting alongside two other photographers in a disused art studio. His knowledge of off-camera flash was something which I could benefit from to improve my way of work and it will enable me to approach lighting conditions differently.

We've been in touch for months, planning to shoot together but never got round to it until a few weeks ago. We finally had the chance to chat, brainstorm and think possible shooting dates. The location we chose was Micheldever Woods near Winchester. I received the idea after posting a message on Facebook about possible shooting locations dominated by flowers - it's amazing what social networking sites can give me access to these days.

I'm in the process of editing the photos but here are a few shots of the location plus some behind the scene stuff...

Moments and Expressions...

I covered a wedding in Wolverhampton last weekend - the weather in the Midlands have been unpredictable the week leading up to the big day, however we were blessed with the fact that the clouds held the rain drops until I finished the outdoor group shots. 

So thank you to everyone involved during the day, especially the Best Man, Ushers for helping me out crowd controlling during the group shots and the staff at Somerford Hall, a very organised team! 

It was a great shoot overall. As ever the couple, family and friends were very warm and welcoming - which makes my job easier - on top of that everything flowed along stress free and full of laughter - with the best man speech being the main highlight.
